He will be working with our other professionals in the field providing residential energy efficiency testing. An avid outdoorsman, Wes spends his free time skiing, hunting and traveling. She has completed the national training and certification provided by RESNET and will be working with the other professionals in our Energy Department. Thea’s free time is spent enjoying time with her daughter, two dogs and a ferret. We are excited to have Thea join our ATS family.

We are pleased to announce that Linda Brown has been promoted to Business Development Department Manager. Linda came to ATS with a strong business background with 32 years’ experience as a leader in the retail industry.
In the 2 ½ years Linda has been with ATS she has been instrumental in furthering our business development and marketing efforts. From new client acquisition, preparing RFQs, renegotiating pricing and contracts, producing branded marketing materials, expanding our social media presence and participating in trade exhibitions and associations, her efforts have produced tangible results. She is also actively involved in the development of our new PTRAC Project Tracking system; identifying work flows and processes for each department.
In addition to business development and marketing efforts Linda will continue to engage in recruiting new talent, assisting staff with professional development opportunities and maintaining continuing education requirements.

Recently, ATS’ MEP department manager, David Mitchell P.E., had the honor of presenting his MEP design for the Zach Topfer Theater to the Audio Engineering Society of Central Texas. His HVAC design provided a nearly silent and highly energy efficient system with optimal air quality. The overall MEP design greatly contributed toward the achievement of LEED Silver Certification from the United States Green Building Council; among one of the first performance theaters to achieve that rating in Texas. David’s MEP design earned him the 2014 ACEC Texas Engineering Excellence Award – Gold Medal Winner for overall MEP design. We are fortunate to have David on our team.
Home Innovation Research Labs recently announced their 150,000th certified green building project; Hanover R.S. Construction’s Buckhead Village project. ATS’ own Dondi Atwell performed the required third-party verification inspections for the Hanover Buckhead Village, National Green Building Standard (NGBS) project in Atlanta, Georgia. Home Innovation Research Labs certifies compliance of residential projects with the NGBS; the only ANSI-approved consensus standard on green building. The NGBS provides verification that a home, apartment building, or land development is designed and built to achieve high performance in six key areas: Site Design, Resource Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Building Operation & Maintenance. Congratulations Home Innovation Research Labs and Dondi Atwell for achieving this monumental milestone.
