Michael Freier Joins Our Inspections Team
Our Inspections department is excited to welcome Michael Freier to the team. Michael brings over 30 years of experience in the Construction industry, including over 13 years as a Building Inspector. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Almeda University and a Certificate for Construction Inspection from the College of Sequoias in California. He holds several International Code Council Certifications in Commercial Inspections. When Michael’s not Inspecting construction projects, he’s traveling, camping and hiking with his wife. ATS Engineers, Inspectors, & Surveyors happily welcomes Michael to the ATS family.
CT Loyd and his Energy Team are excited to welcome their newest member, Wes Tolle. Wes comes to us with a military background having served 6 years in the Army, finishing his career as a Sargent. He proudly served in Afghanistan and Iraq. After the Army, he continued supporting our troops by working with several companies that offered technical support and training. For the next 6 years, he provided survivability training to our men and women in uniform. Amid all this important work, Wes obtained a B.S. degree in Business Management. Wes has travelled to many destinations around the world and tells us that Texas is his favorite and therefore “home”. When Wes isn’t working, you’ll most likely find him at one of our many lakes, the gym or on a golf course. Welcome aboard Wes! We look forward to working with you!
We are excited to welcome Derenda Helser to our Survey department. Derenda comes to us with multiple years of experience in Administrative Support. Before coming to ATS, she was a business owner of several innovative companies. When she’s not keeping the Survey department organized and “on track”, she’s busy watching her son play baseball in Cedar Park. Per Derenda, “he’s got a rocket arm”. Maybe a pro baseball player in the making? ATS is pleased to have Derenda join our winning team.
Our Structural Department recently welcomed the newest member to their team, Garrett Johnson. Garrett is a current member of the Texas Army National Guard. He serves as a Technical Engineer, drafting site plans & floor plans, analyzing soil samples, surveying and anything else the Army needs. His love for serving the military comes from a family with decades of military service. A Texas native, Garrett spent only a few years away while attending the Savanna College of Art and Design. We are proud to have Garrett on the ATS team.

ATS has the pleasure of serving many local jurisdictions in Texas as their plan review and inspection authority. We are very pleased that so many communities have put their faith in ATS to help ensure the health and safety of their citizens.

Alex brings several years of experience in the construction industry with a demonstrated eye for detail. In the coming months, he will be working closing with our Energy support staff. When Alex isn’t focused on providing great customer service to our clients, he’s taking care of his two fur babies, Sam and Junior. Welcome Alex. ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors welcomes Raul Gutierrez to our Energy Department. Raul comes to us with over 17 years of experience in the Central Texas Housing market. He recently completed his Home Energy Rating System (HERS) classroom training and is working to complete his field training. When he completes his training he will be a certified RESNET HERS Rater, working with other ATS HERS Raters in the Central Texas area. When Raul’s not thinking about energy efficiency in homes, he’s doing what most Texans love to do, spending time with family and barbequing. We are excited to have Raul join the ATS family of Energy Raters.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is pleased to welcome Matt Sist to our Inspections Department. Matt has over 5 years of experience in the Construction industry and 16 years of experience as a Windstorm Inspector working for the Texas Department of Insurance, (TDI). As a Windstorm Inspector he worked through several hurricanes including Rita, Umberto and Ike. He holds International Code Council certifications as a Residential Combination Inspector, Commercial Building Inspector and Coastal & Floodplain Construction Inspector. We are excited to have Matt join our team of Inspectors serving the Central Texas area.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is pleased to welcome Joe Meuth to our Inspections department. Joe brings a wealth of experience having worked 20 years with a large regional retailer in their in-house Construction department and over 20 years as a Construction Inspector with a local municipality. Joe is a Central Texas native, raised in Dale Texas and graduated from Lockhart High School. If Joe’s not working, you’ll most likely find him enjoying the great Texas outdoors. ATS is excited to have Joe join our team.
