ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is excited to welcome Alicia Jackson to our MEP Department. Alicia graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. She also studied Aerospace Engineering at Ohio State University. She is a registered Engineer In Training and is looking forward to building on her experience and becoming a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. When Alicia is not working on Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing projects she likes to volunteer with Habitat For Humanity.

Steve Nguyen has 20 years of experience designing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems for buildings. Nearly all of that time was working with our MEP Department Manager, David Mitchell, PE. His projects have a very wide range from retail shell buildings, schools, parks, nursing homes, hospitals, dental suites, theaters, restaurants, pedestrian bridges and more. Steve was the designer on the statewide Gold MEP Engineering award winning project, the new Topfer Theater at Zach Theaters in Austin, Texas, working with David Mitchell. His experience includes all three disciplines of HVAC (mechanical), Plumbing, Lighting and Electrical power. He has designed projects using Autocad, Autocad 3D and Revit. He brings a depth of hands-on design experience and capability to ATS.

ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is pleased to welcome Justin Bauer to our Inspections department. Justin comes to ATS with experience as a Construction Manager and most recently served as Vice President of Construction for a Custom Home Building company here in the Austin area. We are excited to have Justin on our team.

ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is proud to welcome C.T. Loyd as our new Energy Department Manager.

C.T. Loyd is a nationally recognized consultant, trainer, and speaker with over 34 year of construction and building science experience, identifying and implementing energy conservation measures for new construction, as well as existing homes.

As Vice President of Development and Training for a Texas based consulting firm (2000-2009), he developed and grew three divisions of the company; Qualified Energy Audits®, Facilities Management Services, and Fox Energy Specialists® into successful operations. Before leaving in 2009, he had overseen the certification of over 37,000 homes under the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® New Homes program and the International Energy Conservation Code. Additionally, he completed three ENERGY STAR® Manufactured Housing Plant Qualifications, certifying each plant’s ability to produce ENERGY STAR® Labeled Homes in Texas. He played a key role in the development of marketing outreach for these services.

Upon joining the staff of Texas HERO as Technical Director in 2009 and later becoming COO in 2012, he trained, supervised and performed quality assurance reviews of auditors, who performed over 6,000 comprehensive home energy audits from 2010-2012 across Texas, as part of a Utility sponsored program. He worked closely with the marketing team to develop marketing materials, including mailers, door hangers, web ads, and video presentations.

He also developed and implemented a certification program for Energy Code Performance Testing Technicians, referred to as the Performance Verification Technician (PVT) certification, recognized by over 50 cities in Texas.

He has developed accredited energy efficiency curriculum and has trained hundreds of builders, contractors, and sales staff regarding energy efficiency, ENERGY STAR® program requirements and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).

Dondi Atwell with ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors has been named a Home Innovation NGBS Green Partner of Excellence for 2016. NGBS Green, which is based on the National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS), has certified more homes than any other national green home certification program thanks in large part to its knowledgeable in-field verifiers. Being one of an elite group of Home Innovation’s green certification program partners to be recognized validates the commitment Dondi and ATS have made to providing customers with increased value, professionalism, and relevance in the marketplace through third-party verification to the NGBS.

As an accredited NGBS Green Verifier, Dondi and ATS have provided independent verification services for over 5,000 units that ultimately became NGBS Green Certified by Home Innovation Research Labs. NGBS Green Verifiers are trained, tested, and accredited by Home Innovation to ensure consistency and rigor across the country for NGBS Green Certifications across the country.

ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is excited to congratulate our very own Bradly Montgomery for recently passing the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering exam (aka. Professional Engineer exam). Bradly graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and has worked as an Engineer in Training for ATS since 2012. Congratulations Bradly, you are well on your way to obtaining your Professional Seal.

ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is happy to welcome Olivia Nulton to our Administrative team! In the past Olivia has worked with us as a summer intern archiving projects and is now returning eagerly to us as an assistant to our Administrative, Structural & Fleet Management departments. Olivia is the second member in her family joining our crew, with her mother working in the Survey department for over 10 years.
