Building Inspector – Fort Worth Texas

JOB SUMMARY

Successful candidate will perform code inspections on an as-needed basis. This is a mid-level position with daily customer interactions that reports directly to the Building Official for the DFW area. JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assists in establishing appropriate service levels

Licensed Inspector:

  • Inspects new and existing residential and commercial building construction for city, state and local building codes
  • Interpret building plans, sketches, specifications and drawings
  • Provides needed interpretations of the various building codes
  • Maintains certifications and participates in continuing education programs

QUALIFICATIONS

Licenses Required:

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License, State Plumbing Inspector License, ICC Residential Combination Building Inspector, ICC Commercial Combination Building Inspector (preferred but not required).

Education and Experience:

  • Two (2) years of work related or equivalent experience.

ATS is seeking a Structural Engineering Department Manager in our Austin, TX office. In this role, you will be the manager leading our Structural team in the Central Texas region.

A successful candidate will be interested in managing and growing an established Structural team with the backing of company resources and with a steady flow of Structural clientele because of the ATS brand. This key position will oversee a variety of engineering projects for the construction industry, including residential foundation and framing designs, wind brace designs, commercial structural engineering and more.

  • Experience engineering residential and commercial projects.
  • Experience with foundation (post-tension and conventionally reinforced), framing, wind bracing and retaining wall designs, forensic investigations, design letters and site evaluations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage clients
  • Willing to work closely with a team of terrific people

Business Development Coordinator

Position Overview

The Business Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting ATS’s revenue growth by ensuring opportunities are captured, tracked, coordinated, and consistently advanced through the sales process. As opportunity volume continues to increase, we are adding dedicated support to ensure disciplined follow-up and consistent deal progression.

This position serves as a proactive partner to Business Development, department managers, and leadership — helping maintain visibility, accountability, and growth momentum across active pursuits.

Core Objectives

Key Responsibilities

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate, real-time CRM records

Opportunity Coordination & Advancement

  • Monitor active proposals and pursuits

Requirements

  • CRM experience (we use ZOHO) or similar prospecting / client tracking systems
  • Industry experience in construction, engineering, architecture or related AEC industry
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Prior sales support experience, i.e. sales, sales admin, client management, etc.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional, proactive, persistent, and comfortable driving momentum and strong follow-through

Commercial Combination Building Inspector – Austin Area

ATS is seeking a personable, motivated individual with a desire to be part of our growing inspections team. Our ideal candidate will have International Code Council (ICC) Inspection certifications, commercial building (B2), mechanical (M2), electrical (E2) and plumbing (P2). A Texas State plumbing inspector’s license is a plus. Consideration will be given to all qualified candidates.

Structural Engineer In Training (EIT)

ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors (ATS) is seeking a bright, motivated candidate to join our structural engineering department. We support the builder residential community with frame, windbrace and foundation designs for new and remodeled single-family homes and townhouses; and also specialize in light commercial projects (retail, office, tenant finish outs).
We are looking for a project engineer to grow our capability to handle builder residential and commercial design and construction admin tasks. You’d have the opportunity to grow your skills under the supervision of our department manager and team of experienced engineers and drafters (10-25 years expertise).

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering. Master’s degree (or degree in progress) a plus.

· 0.5+ years of experience in the design of building structures.

· Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification in Texas a plus.

· Experience designing with multiple materials and/or building types. Most structures we produce are one- to three-stories tall, wood- or steel-framed with concrete foundations. Ability to understand other engineers’ assumptions and apply similar rules to your design essential.

· Good verbal and written communication skills. We’re looking for someone who can stay on top of multiple projects and advise their supervisor on their progress and hangups, to meet external deadlines and expectations.

· Ideal candidate has experience designing structures or structural elements using 2-D/3-D analysis software like Risa, as well as calculations (Enercalc or Excel especially, rather than only hand calcs).

Structural Engineer – P.E.

ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors (ATS) is seeking an intelligent, self-starter to join our structural engineering department. We are looking for a licensed engineer (P.E.) to grow our capability to take on complicated, high-end custom residential projects (think modern/glass/steel/cantilevers) and Class A commercial projects (retail and office shell and finish-outs). Ideally, we are looking for someone to work closely with the department manager in setting the growth path of our department.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering. Master’s degree a plus.

· 5+ years of experience in the design of building structures; ideally including experience in all project phases: framing layout for gravity and lateral, calculations and detailing during construction document phase and construction administration.

· P.E. license in Texas, or ability to obtain one in 3 months. Passed S.E. exam a plus.

· Experience designing with diverse materials and building types. Most structures we produce are one- to three-stories tall, wood- or steel-framed with concrete foundations. Ability to understand other engineers’ assumptions and apply similar rules to your design is essential.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate has experience as a project manager and the ability to guide architects towards practical solutions during design development, to avoid clunky outcomes during construction document phase.
