ATS Welcomes C.T. Loyd
ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is proud to welcome C.T. Loyd as our new Energy Department Manager.
C.T. Loyd is a nationally recognized consultant, trainer, and speaker with over 34 year of construction and building science experience, identifying and implementing energy conservation measures for new construction, as well as existing homes.
As Vice President of Development and Training for a Texas based consulting firm (2000-2009), he developed and grew three divisions of the company; Qualified Energy Audits®, Facilities Management Services, and Fox Energy Specialists® into successful operations. Before leaving in 2009, he had overseen the certification of over 37,000 homes under the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® New Homes program and the International Energy Conservation Code. Additionally, he completed three ENERGY STAR® Manufactured Housing Plant Qualifications, certifying each plant’s ability to produce ENERGY STAR® Labeled Homes in Texas. He played a key role in the development of marketing outreach for these services.
Upon joining the staff of Texas HERO as Technical Director in 2009 and later becoming COO in 2012, he trained, supervised and performed quality assurance reviews of auditors, who performed over 6,000 comprehensive home energy audits from 2010-2012 across Texas, as part of a Utility sponsored program. He worked closely with the marketing team to develop marketing materials, including mailers, door hangers, web ads, and video presentations.
He also developed and implemented a certification program for Energy Code Performance Testing Technicians, referred to as the Performance Verification Technician (PVT) certification, recognized by over 50 cities in Texas.
He has developed accredited energy efficiency curriculum and has trained hundreds of builders, contractors, and sales staff regarding energy efficiency, ENERGY STAR® program requirements and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).
Dondi Atwell with ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors has been named a Home Innovation NGBS Green Partner of Excellence for 2016. NGBS Green, which is based on the National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS), has certified more homes than any other national green home certification program thanks in large part to its knowledgeable in-field verifiers. Being one of an elite group of Home Innovation’s green certification program partners to be recognized validates the commitment Dondi and ATS have made to providing customers with increased value, professionalism, and relevance in the marketplace through third-party verification to the NGBS.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors is excited to congratulate our very own Bradly Montgomery for recently passing the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering exam (aka. Professional Engineer exam). Bradly graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and has worked as an Engineer in Training for ATS since 2012. Congratulations Bradly, you are well on your way to obtaining your Professional Seal.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is pleased to announce that we have been selected to provide Plan Review services for the City of Midlothian, Texas.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is pleased to welcome Dale Jones to our Inspections department. Dale brings over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He is an Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Dale has worked on several projects for the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) including projects in Arizona, Port Isabel and Fort Hood Texas. He has several commercial and residential ICC certifications and is a Texas Master Electrician. We are excited to have Dale join our team.
ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is happy to welcome Olivia Nulton to our Administrative team! In the past Olivia has worked with us as a summer intern archiving projects and is now returning eagerly to us as an assistant to our Administrative, Structural & Fleet Management departments. Olivia is the second member in her family joining our crew, with her mother working in the Survey department for over 10 years. ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors was pleased to have attended the 2016 Texas Municipal League Conference at the Austin Convention Center October 5 – 7. Over 300 Texas cities were represented, with over 3000 attendees. Eight members of our team participated, talking to hundreds of exhibition visitors. Thanks to everyone involved.
