ATS Engineers, Inspectors & Surveyors is currently seeking a bright, motivated CAD Technician to join our growing Land Survey Department. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson in a Survey design capacity is a must. Drafting experience preferred could include any or all of the following:
  • Boundary Surveys
  • Topographic Surveys
  • Elevation / Flood Certificates
  • Subdivision Surveys
The successful applicant can expect to work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring a high degree of teamwork capabilities. Attention to detail, strong oral and written skills, and effective interpersonal skills are a must. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to producing residential surveys and plats in AutoCAD, which are used by builders to obtain permits from jurisdictions.

You will be tasked with supervising the accounts receivable staff, collecting, and resolving late payments, and updating financial records. You will also oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic goals of the accounts receivable cycle through management, maintenance, implementation, and design of all accounts receivable procedures and functions. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday during regular business hours, and the work will be performed in a hybrid setting. This position reports directly to one of the owners of the company.   Accounts Receivable Supervisor / Manager Job Responsibilities:
  • Collects accounts by contacting customers, investigating circumstances of non-payment, negotiating and resolving conflicts and expediting payment.
  • Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner.
  • Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and departments to answer any client questions.
  • Reviews overdue accounts for write-offs or other collection methods.
  • Preparation and analysis of data and reports.
  • Organizes monthly meetings to communicate information and guidance from department managers and to review policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with Interviewing, hiring, and training new staff in the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Accounts Receivable Supervisor / Manager Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise desktop strongly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including knowledge of advanced functions (pivot tables, vlook-ups, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of policies and procedures used in accounts receivable and billing
  • Leadership, management, and team-building skills
  • Time and process management, including the ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve misunderstandings and errors in a diplomatic manner
  • Typing, computing, and data entry skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong financial skills and understanding of financial concepts and business principles.
  • Documentation skills
  • Experience collecting large volume of invoices
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred
  Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business management preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an accounting, billing, or accounts receivable department.

  • Direct or conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.
  • Aid in Business Development through proposals and marketing material
  • Industry Organization participation
  • Perform various survey calculations and sign and seal survey drawings
  • Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
  • Prepare or supervise preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveys
  • Search legal records, survey records and land titles to obtain property information
  • Write descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents
  • Attend various meetings, seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Registered (Texas) Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) required
  • Minimum 5+ yrs. as a Land Surveyor; Texas work experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, construction staking, easements and general plat preparation is required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some residential survey experience required
  • Management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CADD based program, preferably AutoCAD and Carlson, is extremely important
  • Must be able to adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment
