An ATS Energy Inspector validates that newly constructed homes meet energy efficiency standards of national programs, such as HERS, IECC, and other accredited programs. ATS’ Energy Inspector is responsible for performing home inspections at new subdivisions and communicating inspection results to large home builders. ATS seeks experienced Energy Inspectors who can grow with ATS. We are a market leader for home inspections for large home builders in Central Texas and we need you! ATS also seeks inexperienced candidates. You can expect to be trained alongside experienced inspectors to help you gain the technological experience that you need, and ATS pays for your training. After training completion, you will become a certified IECC Energy Inspector, HERS Rating Field Inspector, and/or HERS Raters. Our Energy Inspectors receive building assignments via our proprietary web-based system. Our inspectors perform home building inspections in Austin, San Antonio, and/or South Texas, depending on their location. We support the builder residential community with frame, windbrace and foundation designs for new and remodeled single-family homes and townhouses; and also specialize in light commercial projects (retail, office, tenant finish outs). We are looking for a project engineer to grow our capability to handle builder residential and commercial design and construction admin tasks. You’d have the opportunity to grow your skills under the supervision of our department manager and team of experienced engineers and drafters (10-25 years expertise). Job Requirements: · Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering. Master’s degree (or degree in progress) a plus. · 0.5+ years of experience in the design of building structures. · Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification in Texas a plus. · Experience designing with multiple materials and/or building types. ATS is seeking a personable, motivated individual with a desire to be part of our growing inspections team. Our ideal candidate will have International Code Council (ICC) Inspection certifications, commercial building (B2), mechanical (M2), electrical (E2) and plumbing (P2). A Texas State plumbing inspector's license is a plus. Consideration will be given to all qualified candidates. JOB SUMMARY Successful candidate will perform building code inspections on an as-needed basis. This is a mid- level position with daily customer interactions that reports directly to the Inspection Department Manager. Projects inspected include commercial construction types of all sizes and complexities. The annual pay is competitive and dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include, but are not limited to, a company vehicle, health and retirement. Licensed Inspector:
  • Inspects new and existing commercial building construction for city, state and local building codes as well as compliance with engineered specifications.
  • Interpret building plans, sketches, specifications and drawings

QUALIFICATIONS Licenses Required:

  • Direct or conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.

  • Perform various survey calculations and sign and seal survey drawings
  • Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Registered (Texas) Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) required

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, construction staking, easements and general plat preparation is required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some residential survey experience required
  • Management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CADD based program, preferably AutoCAD and Carlson, is extremely important
  • Must be able to adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment
