The Opportunity
This is a high-impact role responsible for growing revenue, improving sales efforts, and expanding client relationships. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales professional with experience in any of the following: construction, real estate, architecture, engineering, or municipal sales. The sales cycle is relationship-based, medium to long-term, and typically requires a consultative selling approach.
A key driver of success will be establishing good prospecting practices and relationships. The salesperson will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities while also leveraging ATS’s existing client base.
Reporting Structure & Collaboration
This role will report to the COO with support, training, and mentorship from many others including our current Manager Business Development, department managers, and ownership to align sales efforts with company growth strategies. Over time, as ATS grows, this role could evolve into a leadership position within a multi person sales department. Growth is the key.
POSITION DUTIES:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT duties are as follows:
OVERALL – Grow revenue, lead, manage and champion the company’s collective sales efforts.
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – Work autonomously and with department Managers to develop new business and evaluate opportunities to drive profitable multi-year growth.
SALES CALLS – Establish connections through face-to-face sales calls, phone, email campaigns, and networking events.
SALES PROCESS/CRM – Drive the sales process from lead generation to customer satisfaction action using the Company’s CRM system (ZOHO CRM) to manage and enhance the outbound and inbound sales processes. Help to champion CRM adoption within the company.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS – Develop general technical knowledge & skills required to converse with prospects ATS’s services.
MARKETING – Help to continue and ultimately drive Marketing Strategy to achieve the Company’s goals including brand recognition, thought leadership, & lead generation.
LEADERSHIP – Provide leadership toward additional value-added activities and support operational and departmental excellence while fostering teamwork between all departments.
CLIENT RETENTION: Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships with a focus on retention and expansion (cross selling).

What We are Looking For
Must Have:
- Track record of excelling at hitting sales targets.
- 3 years of sales experience, commercial / industrial construction, real estate, architecture, engineering, or municipal sales.
- Highly proactive, extroverted, relationship-driven, and action-oriented.
- Experience with CRM and structured sales processes.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent work ethic, time management, organization, and follow-through.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Commercial / industrial sales or account management experience.
- Experience building or improving sales processes.
- Social media & thought leadership experience.
- Management experience with potential to lead a sales team.
- RFQ & proposal writing experience
